The Autism Society of Greater New Orleans is proud to be providing a FREE training for all first responders pertaining to important information to effectively work with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders in emergency situations. This training has been made possible by a generous grant from the Tres Doux Foundation!
“The mission of the Tres Doux Foundation is to celebrate, embrace and enhance the lives of children with developmental delays and disabilities by presenting them as whole beings, and to support organizations that do the same.With proceeds from the Beignet Fest, the Tres Doux Foundation makes grants to local nonprofit organizations that provide accessible, quality programs for children with developmental delays.”
The training will take place Tuesday, April 24. 9am – 2pm. At First Baptist New Orleans (5290 Canal Blvd in New Orleans) and will be presented by members of the Autism Society’s Safe and Sound Task Force: Cpt Bill Cannata (Program Coordinator for Autism Law Enforcement Education Coalition) and Lt. Jimmy Long of the Pensacola Police Force
